The recent forced managerial changes at many of Nigeria's top Commercial banks is a positive step that shows we don't always need the international Community to tell us what to do.
Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the CBN Governor who takes credit for these measures, has by so doing started fulfilling the promise that his appointment seemed to signal by his gutsy presentation to Nigeria's House of Senate just before his appointment.
Time will tell how much his measures will achieve, whether his 'wings' will be clipped, or whether he will be compromised.
